Hannah & Hanna (2001 - 2005)
Company of Angel's first production was critically highly acclaimed and a surprise hit at the Edinburgh Festival in 2001. It has since toured the UK and abroad for over four years and been translated into six languages.
Club Asylum (2002)
A new devised dance / text piece written by John Retallack with choreography by Andy Howitt and informed by interviews with young asylum seekers in Glasgow. A co-prodcution with macroberts arts centre, Stirling.
Crime and Punishment in Dalston (2002)
David Farr's adaptation of the classic novel to modern-day Hackney. In co-production with Arcola Theatre.
Fathers and Eggs & The Wild Girl (2002)
Two class-room plays for primary school children, presented in co-production with Quicksilver Theatre.
Young Europe (2003)
A season of new European plays presented in association with Polka Theatre.
Theatre Cafe (2004)
Presenting new plays fom across Europe through staged rehearsed readings in a unique cafe atmosphere. A co-production with Caird Company.
Virgins (2006)
A new dance / text piece by John Retallack with choreography by Fleur Darkin. A co-production with The Junction, Cambridge in association with Escalator East to Edinburgh.
RISK (2007)
A new dance / text work in co-production with macroberts arts centre, Stirling, YDance and The Tron, Glasgow. Written by John Retallack with choreography by Andy Howitt.
Theatre Cafe Europe (2007)
A new writing platform extending the idea of the Theatre Cafe pilot project in 2004. In association with hetMUZTheater , Zandaam (Holland), VAT Teater, Tallinn (Estonia) and Le Grand Bleu, Lille (France).
Truckstop (2007)
Award-winning UK premiere and Edinburgh Fringe 2007 hit co-produced with Eastern Angles Theatre Company. On national tour until 9th November.
Theatre Cafe Festival (2008)
Company of Angels return to Tooley Street, London SE1, with an expanded Theatre Cafe programme presented in two neighbouring venues, Unicorn Theatre and Southwark Playhouse.
Invasion! (2009) by Jonas Hassen Khemiri in co-production with The Junction, Cambridge and Soho Theatre. Directed by Young Angels Award 2008 winner Lucy Kerbel.
Children in Wartime (2009) in association with the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA), a season of contemporary European plays directed by three emerging directors at ALRA and on tour.
Sense (2009) by Anja Hilling in association with Drama Centre London. Directed by Company of Angels' Associates Laura Baggaley, Oystein Brager, Max Key, Philip Thorne and Max Webster.
Iphigenia and This Child (2010) in association with the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA) featuring Iphigenia by Pauline Mol (Holland) and This Child by Joel Pommerat (France).
